The Leon County Commissioners wrapped up 2010 with their final scheduled meeting on December 22nd. Commissioner Joey Sullivan presided in the absence of Judge Byron Ryder, who continues to recuperate at home from recent back surgery. Precinct 3 Commissioner Mark Ivey was also absent, but there was a quorum present to carry on county business, and they did so with a seasonal flair.   More...

Invasive ant is a pain in the feet and pocketbooks of Texans

Rodell makes 1st team
The Texas High School Coaches Association recently announced the Academic All- State Football Teams. Buffalo High School's Jacob Rodell was selected to the 1st Team, and four other Bison seniors received Honorable Mention at the State level.
