Explosion rocks BB Chemical near Oakwood
For a week now, not a lot was known about last Tuesday’s explosion at BB Chemical on Hwy 79 in Freestone County, just outside Oakwood. At this time, there is an on going investigation and no one at BB Chemical was authorized to answer questions or make a statement. Funeral services for Darlene (Pate) Easley age 58, of Pasadena, Texas were held 10 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Flo Baptist Church in the Flo Community. Interment was in the Parker Cemetery. Rev. Ron Burton, officiated the services.   More...

Distance runners throughout the state are running through parks or golf courses this fall, competing UIL cross country.
