JV and Freshmen Lady Bison compete in Centerville Tourney
Erin Trahan successfully returns volley with a bump.
The JV and freshmen Lady Bison teams competed at Centerville in tournament play last weekend.
The JV Lady Bison
lost their first game on Thursday to a tough team from Normangee. Service errors and missed digs cost BHS the game (13-25) and (15-25). A good practice on Friday paid off on Saturday, when the Lady Bison went headto head with Teague. The girls were focused and eliminated their individual errors, resulting in much better team play. Although they were able to give the Lady Lions a good game, BHS lost the match in two exciting games, 19-25 and 21-25.
The Freshman girls
faced Normangee in their first game on Thursday. Numerous team errors cost BHS the match in two games (18-25 and 12-25). They came back on Saturday to meet the youngest Leon Lady Cougars. Cleaning up their errors and playing team ball, Buffalo took that contest with back-to-back wins, 25-23 and 25-14. Their final game was against Mexia, and the tough Lady Blackcats took that contest in two games, 19-25, 19-25.
THIS WEEK the freshmen and JV teams participate in tournament play at Leon.
