TNG Carwash opens in Centerville
Tim and Ginger Franklin proudly show off their newest project, TNG Carwash. Sherry
Residents of Centerville and the surrounding areas now have a brand new car wash and vacuum station right in town on Highway 75. Radio stations KMUL Madisonville, and KIVY Crockett, were broadcasting Saturday morning, September 4, for the ribbon cutting and grand opening.
Tim and Ginger Franklin are the proud owners of the facility and this is not all that keeps this industrious couple busy. Tim is a master electrician and owner of Leon County Electric in Centerville. The couple owns T&G Properties and Ginger works for C&L Investments. To round out their active life, the Franklins have two children and one grandchild.
The car wash has two wash bays which allow the customer to wash at the pace he chooses. Franklin says the total cost of the wash depends upon the customer. The machines start when $1.25 is inserted but most will need to spend from $2.50 to $5.00 to get the job done.
The facility also boasts a state-of-the-art automatic car wash ($9.00) which uses a water formula designed to clean the most difficult jobs like farm trucks and trailers. Franklin explained that the building houses a water treatment plant which removes chemicals and imperfections that cause spotting. When sprayed as the last part of the wash the vehicle will dry without spots.
Once your vehicle is clean, pull on over to the vacuum station and finish the job. Need supplies? There is a vending machine which has everything from towels to glass cleaner.
The weather was perfect for the Grand Opening event. The Franklins were available to explain the workings of the wash and folks lined up to get their free car wash. No one seemed to mind the wait. And to finish off the visit there were water, cookies and donuts available for anyone who wanted to indulge.
