Buffalo Police Report

Lance Pavelka Lance Pavelka Officer Mouton to Commerce Street for possible assault at a business. Upon arrival, officer met with store manager regarding a suspected shoplifter attempting to run over an employee as they fled the premises. After receiving the subject’s description, officer proceeded to subject’s apartment where, upon further investigation, found items that had been reported as stolen by manager. Subject was arrested for Robbery and transported to LCSO jail.

Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for vehicle crash involving a TxDOT truck. Report was filed.

Sgt Ferrand to Buffalo Avenue for two vehicle crash. Report was filed.

Sgt Ferrand to IH 45 for one vehicle crash into the cable barrier. Report was filed.

Sgt Ferrand to Highway 79 West for vehicle rollover. Officer assisted DPS with crash that occurred outside of city limits.

Sgt Ferrand to Commerce Street for possible abandoned vehicle. Upon arrival, officer spoke with manager who stated the vehicle had been parked at the hotel for 4 days. Officer received info that the vehicle was a rental and the name of the person to whom it was rented. After consulting the hotel guest list, it was found the renter was a guest. Cleared as info.

Officer Mouton to Parks Street for disturbance. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject who appeared to be intoxicated and was causing problems with her son. Upon further investigation, officer arrested subject on two outstanding warrants out of Brazoria County. Subject was transported to LCSO jail.

Officer Haynie to Main Street for civil matter. Upon arrival, officer made contact with Reportee regarding her husband having removed a piece of property from her home without her consent. She reported that they were going through a divorce and had met in her home to discuss separating personal property. She had allowed him to take the property as to avoid any problems and wanted him to stay away from her residence. Officer contacted husband and he agreed to stay away.

Officer Haynie to Hill Street for alarm call. Upon arrival, officer checked perimeter of building and found secure.

Sgt Ferrand to Craig Street for possible child left in motor vehicle. Upon arrival, officer located a vehicle matching description given but only observed car seats in the vehicle. Officer searched the area and found no other vehicle matching the description.

Sgt Ferrand on Commerce for possible hit and run between Palestine and Oakwood. Officer was flagged down by subject regarding his vehicle being struck by a truck pulling a trailer and that they refused to stop. Subject’s description matched vehicle that officer had observed and vehicle was stopped. Suspect denied she had made contact with subject’s vehicle. Subject arrived and showed damage to his vehicle. Upon inspection and further investigation, officer found matching damage on suspect’s vehicle and suspect acknowledged that she may have unknowingly struck the vehicle. Parties exchanged information.

Sgt Ferrand to Buffalo Avenue for possible intoxicated student. Upon arrival, officer met with high school principal regarding a student he suspected was intoxicated. Officer made contact with student and detected an odor of burnt marijuana on his hand. He also saw further signs of student having a depressant in his system. When questioned, student confirmed he had used marijuana before coming to school. Officer performed a portable breath test which had a negative result. Upon search by the principal, no illegal substances were found on the student and officer concluded that student was no danger to himself or others so left him in the custody of the principal.
