Freestone Co. man arrested for online solicitation of a minor

At approximately 8 AM on 09-06-10, Labor Day, three Freestone County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a Warrant of Search and Arrest at a location on FM-416. One man was arrested on the named charges, two counts of Online Solicitation of A Minor.

Arrested was Mr. Ervin B. Scovel, 62 years of age. In addition to his arrest, several electronic devices and digital storage devices were taken as evidence.

The Warrants were issued by Theresa Farris, Justice of the Peace, Precinct #1. Deputies Thomas Hendrix, Jeremy Shipley and Travis Robertson were the arresting Officers. Mr. Scovel was carried to and incarcerated at the Freestone County Jail, where he remains jailed.
