BHS squeezed in an extra opponent on Tuesday, hosting three Grapeland teams. The Varsity girls gave the Maidens a thrilling, grueling match that went to five games. BHS fell behind 3-9 in Game One on errors, but Reagan Read and Kelsey Canady led a rally for a 25-23 win. Game Two was close throughout, but GHS won 18-25. Game Three was a hard-fought battle with long volleys that fell on the wrong side for BHS. GHS won 16-25. The Lady Bison thrilled fans in Game Four, clawing back from a 19-24 deficit to take the win, 28-26. Grapeland took the match with a 10-15 victory in Game Five, but the young Lady Bison team had showed fans -- and themselves -- that they have the heart to come from behind.
Canady led her team with 11 kills and 4 Aces. Lindsey McGill led defensively with 33 digs. Samantha Adkinson had 5 kills and 2 aces. Reagan Read had 4 aces, and Raven Lott had 4 kills. TiOnna Adams and Shelby Ballard had 12 assists each and Ballard added 2 aces.

BHS led throughout and won 25-18 to force Game Three. The Lady Bison led early, 6-2, but that game was knotted from 7-7 to 15-15. Grapeland pulled ahead by three but Jenkins stepped up to serve five straight points for the lead. BHS held the Maidens off and won the game 25-22 and took the match.
THE FRESHMEN dominated the Maidens in Game One, with Mickie Chitwood leading the Lady Bison at the service line. Chitwood strung together seven service points in a row to propel BHS to a solid lead, and returned to the line late in the game and served out, winning 25-7. In Game Two, Jessica Presutti had a four-point run and the Lady Bison led 11-3 before BHS errors let Grapeland cut the advantage to 4, 14-10. BHS regrouped and took the win 25-14.
