Straight from The Horse’s Mouth

Laura St. John

I'm back in the saddle again - Out where a friend is a friend - Whoopi-ty-ayeoh! Aaah, back to writing the column. My head is full of many things I want to share with you. It truly was a fantastic summer. After mine and Glenn's 'most epic' vacation we have a new bright and shiny attitude, are chock full of creative ideas, and rarin' to bring more of the best of THM to Buffalo. (The story of our West Coast Coffee Trip will have to be meted out over the next few weeks.)

Right now we have a long list of up-coming events: This Friday, August 20th - Open Mic Night, our Back to School Jam! On Saturday, September 4th, we are excited to introduce Mr. David Cooley's seminar: "Promote Your Business Online". 9am- 12pm Thanks to the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce it will be free to the public and hosted in the Gathering Room, Springfield Center, Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church, Buffalo. (More info in coming weeks)

Our monthly Scrabble Tournament is usually on the first Monday, but next month that's Labor Day...so we'll have it on Sept. 13th. The weekend of Sept. 18th is 'The Buffalo Stampede' which promises to be bigger than ever...really.

PLUS!- THM's t shirts and travel mugs are here, and there's a new computer guy in town. Yay! and Yay!! Mr. Tom Hardie can maintain and repair lap tops and desk tops in your home/business or here at THM (903-322-2180). Call us for more information, or speak to him directly at 903-390-6978.

Now that I'm back to writing I would appreciate some feed-back on the content of this column. You can either shoot me an e-mail at thehorsesmouth@ymail.com or on www.leoncountytoday. com at the bottom of my article. Of course you can always drop in for a chat.

It's good to be back. Thank you all, and I'm looking forward to the future of 'Straight From The Horse's Mouth'. Whoopi-ty-aye-oh!
