The Leon County commissioners Court held its regular meeting on August 9th, 2010 in the Leon County Annex I Courtroom in Centerville.
Before the opening prayer, voiced by Bob Wynn, Judge Byron Ryder called attention to the chair turned backward on the first row for spectators. J.R. Patterson, who passed away recently, had occupied the seat reporting for the Normangee Star for many years. The group observed a time of silence before the prayer.
There were no public comments and Judge Ryder and Court voted to allow Stephanie Bullock and Scotty Hancock to use the old courthouse for a wedding on Saturday, August 14, 2010.
The next three agenda items concerned the Leon County Health Resource Center. Teresa Harris reported that the clinic saw 596 clients in May and as of June has a full time OB/GYN physician on duty.
