The Alvin Moore Memorial Methodist Church was host to the funeral of R.R. Wiley, Jr. on Monday. The community of Oakwood turned out to show their support and to say their good-byes.   Wiley passed away on Friday at the age of 86. This lifelong resident of Oakwood was born on April 20, 1924 to Roddy Rawls Wiley, Sr. and Frances Davis Wiley.   More...

A good crowd of football fans got a pre-season look at the 2010 Bison team at the annual Purple/Gold Scrimmage on Saturday morning. Head Coach Mark Read had enough varsity players to make up both an offense and a defensive unit when the Bison squared off for the first time in pads.
