Richard Bohannan

Richard Bohannan, 77, of Oakwood, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010 in Fairfield. Services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Capps Memorial Chapel with Mr. Bill Nelson and Brother Don Suits, II officiating. Interment followed at Parker Cemetery near Flo in Leon County. Visitation was Tuesday, July 13, 2010 also at Capps Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Bohannan was born March 10, 1933 in Freestone County to parents, Charlie and Jessie Penland Bohannan. At the age of 10, along with his family, he moved to Hubbard. He returned to Freestone County in 1963. Richard worked primarily as a painter and carpenter. He married Patricia Williams on September 21, 1986 in Oakwood. He attended Antioch Baptist Church for many years and more recently attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife Patricia; one brother, Robert Bohannan of San Antonio; two sisters, Lendy Nelson of Cleveland, TX; Loma Stone of Houston.
