Photo by Melissa Missildine Malone Floors employees Stanley Smith and Roger Simmons have been working all week to renovate the Oakwood High School gymnasium. After striping it and refurbishing it, there was still the painting to get done. Smith was confident the floor would be completed on Friday morning so that they could move on to the next job. He could be confident because they were not wasting their time. They went so far as to sleep in the gym on sleeping bags up in the stands to save the time it would take to travel back and forth to a hotel. That is job dedication!

This is just one of many renovation projects OISD has going on this summer. Students, parents, teachers, and faculty are going to be surprised by it all when school starts back up on August 23.
