Five injured in I-45 accident

A one-vehicle accident on southbound I-45 last Monday resulted in five persons being transported to the Madisonville hospital. A 2005 green Ford Expedition driven by Elisabeth Morales of Houston was just south of MM 161 at 4:00 p.m. when the right rear tire suffered a blowout. Morales lost control, ran off the road to the right and overturned one time before landing upright. Most of the seven occupants in the vehicle were children, and five people were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Madisonville.
