Tommy M. Clark

Tommy M. Clark, age 89, of Centerville and formerly Trinity, passed away July 8, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A gathering of family and friends took place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the residence of Mr. Clark. A private burial was held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Leona Cemetery in Leona, Texas.

Tommy M. Clark was born on June 28, 1921 to Stephen Archie & Mary E. (Harper) Clark. He worked as a longshoreman and was a member of the Merchant Marines. Mr. Clark was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially enjoyed driving his trackhoe. He was happiest while clearing his land to build a lake on his property. Mr. Clark had lived in Centerville for the past 3 years, coming from Trinity, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brother, Claude Clark and sister, Marjorie Blansfeld.

Survivors include wife, Laverne Clark of Centerville; daughters, July Gallops & husband, Charles of Centerville and Diana Blackmon of Huntsville; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
