Two young girls killed in ATV crash

Three girlfriends went for a ride on an ATV on Friday afternoon and two were killed after the driver lost control on County Road 320 about 13 miles west of Fairfield. Officers say that the girls were traveling westbound at around 2 p.m. when they tried rounding a corner at a high rate of speed.

Lenesha Durham and Ladaria Hill, both fifteen years old and from the Houston area, were pronounced dead at the scene. The third girl was taken to the hospital.

The Department of Public Safety says that excessive speed was the primary cause of the accident.
