American Legion Raffle Winners Announced

The American Legion Post 335 held two raffles and the drawings were held on Saturday July3rd.

Raffle 1 was for a Kubota T1880 Lawn Tractor and a Stihl FS 45 String Trimmer and a Stihl BE 55 Blower. The total retail value of this package is $3,650.00.

The winner of the lawn care package is Glenda Osborne of Centerville. Glenda purchased her ticket at our sale at Centerville Feed.

Raffle 2 was for a Springfield-Armory 1911 A1 Tactical Response 45 ACP pistol and a handmade red white and blue afghan. The retail value of the pistol is $1,549.00. The afghan was donated.

The winner of the pistol and afghan is Cindy Easterling of Leona. Her ticket was purchased at our sale at Centerville Feed.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Buffalo Sporting Goods in Buffalo, Rucker Equipment Company in Palestine and Carol Wilson of Leona for their support of our Post and for making this raffle a success. We would also like to thank Centerville Feed, Woody’s #2, Lacy’s Grocery, Wells Fargo Bank, Wal-Mart in Crockett and Brookshire Brothers in Buffalo for allowing us sell tickets at the businesses. And last but not least we thank everyone who purchased a ticket for these raffles. The funds raised support of our continued mission of service to the community and county, the Boy Scouts and to Veterans.

Our American Legion Post holds a meeting on the 1st Saturday of the month. Our Post is open to all Veterans; if you are a military veteran you are welcome to attend our meeting.
