Aronia Robinson Haynes
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home in Jewett. Mrs. Haynes passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan on Thursday, June 24, 2010. Aronia was born on April 5, 1918, in Jewett, Texas to John and Nora Robinson. She attended school in the Jewett School System. At a very young age, she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Jewett. Mrs. Haynes worked at a public café (Ellis Café) as a cook in Jewett in her early years. After retiring from providing meals for the public, she began spending endless hours in her own kitchen providing meals for her children and grandchildren in which she sincerely enjoyed doing. Aronia’s true passion in life was her family. She was preceeded in death by her husband, Joe Haynes; father, John Robinson; mother, Nora Robinson; five brothers, two sisters, and a grandson, Billy Charles Haynes. Aronia leaves to cherish her memory: Children: Bobby Haynes & wife Faye of Dallas, Tommy Haynes & wife Lillie of Bryan, Minnie Pearl Haynes of Jewett, Margaret Jo Haynes of Jewett, Irene Haynes Jackson & husband Freddy of Dallas, and Lorene Haynes Moses & husband Cleo of Dallas. Grandchildren : Don Haynes, Bobby James Haynes, Gary Haynes, Paul Haynes, Kevin Haynes, William Smith, Charles Smith, Robert Smith, Bobby Smith, Kenneth Smith, Darron Smith, Mark Haynes, Donna Smith, Tommie (Wayne) Haynes, Kirk Jackson, Frederick Jackson, Rosalind Denise Sneed, Carla Evette Haynes; thirtyseven great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
