Young scientists find their niche at Camp Invention

Over forty area elementary students are honing their science skills this week at Camp Invention, a summer enrichment day camp held at Buffalo Junior High School each day from 9:00 to 3:30. Director Karey Reeder and a team of three teachers (R.C. Dittmar, Kimberly Carter and Kay Young) are leading the week-long camp where students will build their knowledge of math and science while enhancing skills in creativity, problem-solving and team work. Counsellors Shelby Reeder, Tarra Reeder and Ty Tollett will assist, and a team of Junior Counsellors from BJHS and BHS are also volunteering their time.

The week will conclude with their “Inventor’s Showcase” on Friday at 2:45, and the public is invited to see what these youngsters have come up with using their imagination and parts from recycled items.
