Ethel Smith Haynes

Funeral services for Mrs. Haynes, 94, were held on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 11:00a.m. at the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Jewett. Bro. Leroy Haynes officiated. Interment followed the service at Friendship Cemetery in Leon County.

Visitation was held on Friday from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Haynes passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2010 with her family. She was born in Flynn, Texas and lived in Leon County all of her life. She worked for many years as a custodian at the Leon ISD and at Hilltop Lakes. Mrs. Haynes was a dedicated homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was also a member of the Friendship Church of God in Christ.

She is survived by her daughters, Maxine Kinchion of Wells and Addie Roblow of Dallas; a son, E.J. Haynes & wife Dolores of Jewett; ten grandchildren, Arthur Haynes of Jewett, Cherrender Brown of Dallas, Natasha Roblow of Dallas, Jermaine Roblow of Dallas, Dewitt Haynes of Jewitt, Marcus Haynes of Bryan, Freddie Roblow of Dallas, Joshua Haynes of Bryan, Trey Tinsley of Bryan and Destiney Tinsley of Teague; as well as a host of great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dadie Haynes and all of her sisters and brothers.
