      Born on September 4, 1919 in Ash TX, Lyal ended his life of loving service to his family and the world on May 29, 2010 in Katy TX. He lived in circumstances such as farming with muledriven equipment in Buffalo TX, a year in the family ice business in West Virginia after completing high school, six years in the U.S. Army including two and a half years in the European theater during WWII.

      Funeral services for Mrs. Haynes, 94, were held on Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 11:00a.m. at the Ricks-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Jewett. Bro. Leroy Haynes officiated. Interment followed the service at Friendship Cemetery in Leon County. Visitation was held on Friday from 5:00p.m. until 7:00p.m. at the funeral home.
