Shiloh Community Association to elect new officers: Officers for the positions of President, Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer are to be elected at the June meeting (June 8th at 6:00 p.m.) Any person interested in volunteering for any of these positions is asked to attend the meeting. Qualifications to seek these position will be given at this time. The Community Center is located south of Mexia, off Highway 39 at the Shiloh Cemetery exit off LCR 433/439.

Homegoing Services for Thelmarie Gatson will be Sat., June 12th at 11 a.m. at the First St. Holland Life Center, 301 Railroad Street. It’s Gospel Singing Time again @ Hiway Tabernacle Church of God. Hwy. 75 So. June 12, 2010 @ 7:00 p.m. If you want to sing come in and sign up at the door. If you just want to listen come in and make yourself at home. We will have refreshments after the singing. Saturday, June 26th at 3:00 p.m. Brother and Sister Lowe will be celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary and also their 12th anniversary at Hiway Tabernacle Church of God. The Hubbard Family will be singing at 3:00 p.m.

The Buffalo Public Library summer Reading Club programs start June 14. The Children’s theme is: “Catch the Reading Express.” The adult theme is: “Raising a Good Reader.” For adults, the theme is: “Take a Journey With Us.” Prize packets will be given out. No signing up is necessary, just come by and pick up a packet and instructions. For more information call 903- 322-4146.

Upcoming AARP Meeting - Our meeting will be on Tuesday June 15 at the Buffalo Civic Center. Doctor Al Campbell, our silver haired legislator, will be the speaker. Please plan to attend and bring a friend and your favorite food.

The Brushy Cemetery Memorial will be held on Sunday June 27 at 11:00 a.m. with lunch at 12:00 and the business meeting at 1:00 p.m. Anyone with questions can contact Parthena Moore at 903-322- 2022

Flo Volunteer Fire Department meets the first Thursday of each month for their monthly business meeting at the Flo Community Center at 7:00 p.m.
