Officer Haynie to Commerce Street for disturbance. Upon arrival, officer spoke with Reportee regarding a customer who while waiting for his order became upset with the waitresses. Officer then spoke with subject and told him not to return to the establishment if he was going to cause problems. No other police action was needed.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for possible theft. Officer received info from LCSO to contact Complainant via phone. Upon making contact, Complainant advised that the suspect, her son’s former employer, was in possession of equipment her son was buying from her and she would not return it. Officer was unable to make contact with suspect but Complainant called back and said she had spoke with subject and she refused to give the equipment back. Complainant refused to file criminal charges. Cleared as info.
Officer Mouton to Buffalo Avenue for alarm call. Upon arrival, officer found building secure with no signs of entry. Call cleared.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for motorist assist. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject who was attempting to change a tire. Subject had a strong odor of alcohol on his person. Subject submitted to HGN test and subsequently to a breath specimen confirming his intoxication. Officer issued citation for Public Intoxication and released subject to his grandfather.
Officer Hutchison to Second Street for loud music. Upon arrival, officer made contact with tenant who agreed to turn it down. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Parks Street for suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officer spoke with homeowner who advised that she thought someone was on her roof. She had checked and found a brown dog falling off her roof. Officer checked perimeter but was unable to locate the dog or how it may have gained access to the roof. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Railroad Street for ATV fire. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject and found a 4-wheeler engulfed in flames. Subject advised ATV had backfired after fueling and had caught fire. No injuries were reported and Buffalo VFD arrived and extinguished the fire.
Officer Hutchison to Haggard Street for loud music. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject regarding a loud music complaint and advised him to turn it down. Subject complied. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for business alarm. Upon arrival, officer located an unsecured door on the building. Officer checked the establishment and reviewed visual recording system with the owner. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for suspicious person. Upon arrival, officer checked the establishment and found secure. Unable to locate subject described to have been trying to break in with a hammer. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Highway 79 for loose livestock. Upon arrival, calf jumped back through fence into pasture. Owner was contacted and arrived to make repairs to fence to keep livestock from getting into roadway again. Cleared as info.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for missing juvenile. Upon arrival, officer was advised by mother that juvenile had been located with his father. Officer notified LCSO that juvenile had been located.
Officer Hutchison to Commerce Street for loose canine. Officer came upon puppy running down Commerce Street. Officer secured the canine at Buffalo Animal Hospital and contacted ACO Hahn.
Officer Hutchison to Michael Avenue for verbal disagreement. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject regarding food she had obtained from a local restaurant having been tampered with. Officer went with subject to restaurant so she could receive a refund for the food.
Officer Mouton to IH 45 for vehicle crash involving a deer. Upon arrival, officer noted minor damage to vehicle and issued a Driver’s Crash Form to be submitted to the Texas Department of Transportation. Driver left the scene and call was cleared.
Officer Mouton for theft of a 4-wheeler. Remains under investigation.
Officer Mouton to Railroad Street for traffic control due to downed power line. Upon arrival, officer controlled traffic until service truck arrived to repair the line. After line was repaired, call was cleared.
Officer Haynie to Gene Street for suspicious person. Upon arrival, officer spoke with Reportee who had observed a subject walking down the street that was acting suspiciously. Officer located subject and, upon checking his backpack, found subject in possession of a can of spray paint. It was determined that subject was looking to spray graffiti in the area. Parents were contacted and arrived on scene to take custody of him.
Officer Haynie to Leon Street for animal complaint. Upon arrival, officer met with Reportee who had picked up two puppies in the street and wanted to release them to Animal Control. Officer then made contact with a neighbor who said she had reported a female dog and two puppies were under her home and believed they were related to the other puppies. Call was referred to ACO Hahn when he arrived on duty the next morning.
Officer Mouton to Oakwood for agency assist. Officer was contacted by LCSO to assist deputies in locating subjects that had entered the yard area of hardware store and were attempting to take two rolls of fencing wire. Unable to locate one subject but other was located and arrested. After suspect’s vehicle was released to be towed, officer returned to city limits.
Chief Pavelka to Commerce Street for possible criminal mischief. Vehicle ran over a plastic gas cap. No charges were filed.
