     Shiloh Community Association to elect new officers: Officers for the positions of President, Vice-president, Secretary and Treasurer are to be elected at the June meeting (June 8th at 6:00 p.m.) Any person interested in volunteering for any of these positions is asked to attend the meeting.

      Officer Haynie to Commerce Street for disturbance. Upon arrival, officer spoke with Reportee regarding a customer who while waiting for his order became upset with the waitresses. Officer then spoke with subject and told him not to return to the establishment if he was going to cause problems. No other police action was needed.

      05-26-10 Deputy Bart Dorman was dispatched to Broadway St. in Jewett in reference to a report of a prowler. Deputy Brian Stafford contacted a complainant by phone in reference to an animal complaint on Hwy 75 south in Leona. Deputy Brian Stafford contacted a subject off FM 1618 in reference to someone cutting the lock on his gate.

Oakwood’s 8th Graders Celebrate Graduation
      Oakwood held 8th grade graduation shortly before the senior graduation on Friday night. There was a huge crowd of friends, family, and community members there to support this happy occasion.

Oakwood boasts twenty-seven grads
      Wow! What a crowd! People were hard pressed to remember just how long it has been since Oakwood has had such a large graduating class. With 27 graduates bringing along their own entourage (Some students had more than 20 people to come out to show their support from as far away as California!), there had to be some last- minute changes to the setting.

Athletes recognized at BHS Sports Banquet
      The student athletes of BHS were recognized at the annual Sports Banquet on Tuesday evening in the BHS gym. The Bison Booster Club provided the barbeque dinner, and a running slide show highlighted the various teams. Each coach presented his/her athletes with certificates.

Youth summer basketball camp comes to BHS
      The Buffalo High School gym will ring with the sound of bouncing basketballs next week, as the site of basketball camp for boys and girls from 3rd through 12th grade. AirJam Sports Basketball Camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on June 14-18 at the high school gym.

BES Fifth Graders celebrate awards, graduation
     Buffalo Elementary’s fifth grade class concluded their school year with a special awards ceremony and pizza party at the BES cafeteria on Thursday at noon. They are looking forward to moving to the intermediate campus in the fall, where they will still be BMOC*. The fourth grade will also be moving to the current BJHS building. (* Big Men On Campus)

      Buffalo Elementary School celebrated Kindergarten Graduation on Wednesday morning, June 2. The Class of 2022 is off to a big start: with seventy-two students, it is the largest kindergarten class in several years.
