The Third Grade GT class had an exciting trip to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center last week. Seven students traveled with their teacher, Karey Reeder, and several adult chaperones to the Glen Rose area for an overnight field trip. The group took two guided tours of the wildlife center, participated in three educational classes, and climbed up and down steep hills on a vigorous afternoon discovery hike. The trip concluded with a quick tour of the Dinosaur Valley State Park where everyone got to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The students and a few brave adults crossed the river to view the dinosaur tracks that made the Glen Rose area famous. Through all those experiences, we learned about a ton of interesting animals, habitats, and historical information.
