DAR Chapter celebrates 30th birthday
      On Thursday May 20, the Colonel George Dashiell Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, celebrated its thirtieth birthday with a number of awards and honors being bestowed. The Guest Speaker was Ms Lynn Young, Honorary State Regent, Texas Society DAR, member of Tejas Chapter in Houston, who paid tribute to the chapter’s achievements through the years.

Houseman presents EE program
      The Oakwood Extension Education Club met on May 13, 2010 at the Methodist Church. The meeting was called to order by the President Sandra Botard. The minutes from the April 8, 2010 meeting were read by the Secretary Judy Thomason. A business meeting in regard to the State Conference in Wichita Falls and several items on the program were discussed.
