Country Music in the country at Lone Star
      This was the second Country Jamboree for 2010. The May weather was a little warm in the old Lone Star Gymnasium, but no one seemed to mind. Nick Watson engineered the event and has had a great track record for enticing some excellent talent to come all the way to Flo to play and sing.

Texas monthly oil and gas statistics
     MARCH PERMITS The Commission issued a total of 1,739 original drilling permits in March 2010 compared to 1,033 in March 2009. The March total included 1,432 permits to drill new oil and gas wells, 111 to re-enter existing well bores, and 196 for re-completions.

      Chief Pavelka received report from parent regarding an assault that occurred at Buffalo High School involving her son. Remains under investigation. Officer Mouton to Commerce Street for theft. Upon arrival, officer made contact with business owner regarding theft of a handgun. Remains under investigation.

      Sheriff’s Report Number 489- Deputy Travis Robertson to disturbance on FCR- 841, step-father/step-daughter troubles. TPD Cordova and Reed knock on door of house while searching for missing juvenile, when door opens the smell of burning Marijuana hits them in the face, two arrested, to Jail. FEMS to Boyd Unit, Inmate health problem.

Leon County Sheriff’s Report
      05-05-10 Deputy Brian Stafford was dispatched to FM 542 to speak with a complainant in reference to an unwanted person on the property. Deputy Brian Stafford responded to CR 348 in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Deputy David Sales responded to a local business in Centerville in reference to an agency assist with a disabled TDCJ transport bus.
