The Buffalo ISD School Board met at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 14th and their first order of business was to canvass the votes of the May 8th election and formally install the newly re-elected board members. Gene Pruitt, Jr., Russell Jonas and Jim Scott all repeated their Oaths of Office, administered by Lisa Hoepken, and began their next term of service to the district.  More...

The Buffalo Police Department reports that progress has been made on several recent cases. After receiving more information about the Brookshire Brothers burglary from other departments that have been hit more evidence was located on Friday April 30. This was the second Country Jamboree for 2010. The May weather was a little warm in the old Lone Star Gymnasium, but no one seemed to mind. Nick Watson engineered the event and has had a great track record for enticing some excellent talent to come all the way to Flo to play and sing.   More...

Heavy rain throughout the area Friday night forced softball coaches to reschedule regional quarterfinal contests. Buffalo and Warren were scheduled to meet Friday at 7:00 at Sam Houston State University, but thunderstorms postponed the game.
