Marcy Ann (Diehl) Ellis

A Funeral Mass for Marcy Ann (Diehl) Ellis, age 36, of Centerville, was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday May 7, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas. Father Ed Kucera officiated the service and interment followed in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas was in charge of all arrangements.

Marcy A. Ellis was born on April 12, 1974 in Brenham, Texas; to Thomas Edward and Brenda Diehl. Marcy loved to cook and had a special interest in animals. She showed steers and hogs at the Grimes County Fair. Marcy recently became a hunter and killed her first deer. She also loved to fish. She made jewelry and enjoyed wearing it. She was a very generous person, always helping others with their needs. Marcy grew up attending St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas, but started attending First United Methodist Church in Centerville, Texas upon moving there. Marcy passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 in Madisonville, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, Brandon Ellis of Centerville, Texas; father and mother, Thomas and Brenda Diel of Plantersville, Texas; a brother, Thomas “Sport” Diehl of Plantersville, Texas; father and mother-in-law, Ronald & Glenda Ellis of Centerville, Texas; maternal grandmother, Delores Luthe of Roans Prairie, Texas; sister and brother-in-law Wendy (Ellis) & Tommy Zuniga of Centerville, Texas and nephew, Randen Zuniga.
