Leona man critically injured in I-45 crash

Photo by Mac Shadix Paul Polk of Dallas and his brother Preston Polk of Leona were traveling southbound on Interstate 45 Saturday, when the vehicle they were in blew a tire. The vehicle rolled over when the driver, Paul, lost control. Preston Polk was life flighted to ETMC in Tyler with life threatening injuries.

Paul Polk, 57, was arrested for being intoxicated. The accident was worked by Highway Patrol Officer Gaskin, who said the brothers had been fishing and were on their way back to Leona when the crash took place.
