Preliminary results in Reg’l Track Meet

BHS’ Kelsey Canady (center) sprints out of the blocks in the 100M Dash at the Regional track meet. Buffalo, Centerville and Leon athletes competed in the Regional Track Meet in Whitehouse this week. Prelims were held on Monday, May 3rd and finals are set for Tuesday, May 4th.

BHS had seven girls competing and Micah Burnside- Jones represented the BHS men.

Sophomore Samantha Atkinson made the finals in field events on Monday. threw 35’11” and placed 8th in the shotput.

The Girls’ 800M Relay Team (Tionna Adams, Kelsey Canady, Raven Lott and Kaila Grissett) teamed up for a 1:46 --their best time of the season and have qualified for the finals on Tuesday. Also qualifying was Kaila Grissett in the 200M Dash.

The Lady Bison’s 4x100 Relay Team (Canady, Lott, Brooke Trahan, and Grissett) had an excellent time but were disqualified for an exchange zone violation.

Canady competed in the 100M.

On Tuesday morning Lott and Burnside-Jones will compete in the triple jump and Kylan Ferguson will represent BHS in the 1600M run.
