Jean Evans, age 81, was born in Chick, Oklahoma on January 27, 1929. Her parents were Eric R. and Omie Jane (Hinkle) Lindquist, Sr. She was a Baptist by faith and, for the past five years, she had lived with her son and daughter-in-law in Oakwood. Davis Country Store celebrated its first year anniversary with food, music, and games for the kids on Saturday, May 1.
