Headed for the playoffs!
Lady Bison claim second place in district race
     A decisive 14-0 win last Tuesday night over Anderson Shiro gave the Lady Bison an undisputed claim on the district runner-up slot in the state playoffs. Buffalo will play Hemphill in a one game bi-district contest on Friday, April 30th, at 7:00 pm at Central High School in Pollock, Texas.

Bison men wrap up 2010 season
      The Buffalo Bison Varsity baseball team finished up their 2010 season on the road at Anderson-Shiro on Tuesday, April 20th. In the opening inning, BHS went three up, three down. Travis King was on the mound for Buffalo in the bottom of the inning and he struck out one batter and retired the side in four.

      The Oakwood Junior Boys Little Dribbler's basketball team traveled to Levelland on April 13 to compete in the national tournament. It has been eleven years since Oakwood has had a Little Dribbler's team to advance.

      The Centerville Tiger Tennis Team competed in the Region III tennis tournament April 21-22 at Tyler Junior College. The Tigers had the most successful results in school history.

Centerville Lady Tigers defeat Groveton and prepare for playoffs
      The Centerville Lady Tigers defeated Groveton 10-2 at Centerville on April 20 and now prepare for the playoffs. With the win in the last regular season game the Tigers finished in third place behind Corrigan-Camden and Buffalo. Before the game Coach Mark Ruffin introduced the three seniors Channing Byrd, Raimey Griffin, and Brittany Thomas and presented them with a bouquet of flowers.

Hilltop Lakes Golf News
     Ladies results for April 22nd Hilltop Lakes WGA 18-hole ladies and 9-hole ladies played the first day of "PRESIDENT'S CUP". Winners will be announced next week. This is a 2-day event where the ladies must play both days in order to qualify to win. Winner is determined on the total of the two days minus their handicap.

Leon Lady Cougars defeat Marlin, advance to the playoffs
      The Cougars had no trouble in defeating Marlin 12-1 on April 20th to nail down 3rd place in the district. The Leon Lady Cougars are in the playoffs for the second year in a row. The Cougars finished third behind Rosebud-Lott and Franklin. The Cougars travel to Malakoff to face Troup on April 30th. Good luck, Lady Cougars.
