Serial rapist still at large

      Since January 2009 this area of Texas has been terrorized by a rapist who preys on older women who live alone. The latest attack occurred in Moody in McLennan County the last week of February, 2010.

      The Oakwood Extension Education Club met on April 8th, 2010 at the Methodist Church in Oakwood. The meeting was called to order by President Sandra Botard. OISD Board votes for flex calendar

      The Oakwood School Board held a brief school board meeting on April 26 and voted for a change in next year’s school calendar. After a 29-2 vote by the teachers and unanimous decision by the Board, OISD will adopt the Optional Flex Year Pro- gram. Students who meet a list of state and local requirements will be released from school ten days early, on May 13, 2011.

Buffalo Police Report
      Sgt Ferrand to IH 45 for stranded motorist. Upon arrival, officer made contact with subject who was walking back to vehicle after calling for assistance. Courtesy ride was given back to the vehicle whose owner was on the way. No other assistance was needed. Sgt Ferrand, Officer Mouton, Officer Haynie, and Chief Pavelka to funeral escort for Harvey Randle.
