Oakwood UIL heading to Regionals

Oakwood did really well at the area UIL competitions this year. They did so well in fact, that several students are going on to compete at the Regionals on April 23 at Blinn College in Brenham.

Photo by Melissa Missildine Among those moving on to Regionals is Senior Joceyln Williams who won first place in Editorial Writing. Seniors Dustin Hamill and Darian Stewart are moving forward as well. Hamill won 2nd place in Accounting and Stewart won 3rd place in Literary Criticism. Each one of these students received a medal for their achievement.

The Journalism team picked up a 4th place win while Alias Sardaneta picked up a 5th place medal in Mathematics.
