Lady Bison Slide in to Second Place
      The Lady Bison softball team slid into second place in the district race last week. Two wins coupled with Centerville's loss to Onalaska catapulted Buffalo into second while the Lady Tigers dropped to third. Buffalo will host district leader Corrigan-Camden on Tuesday before they host contender Onalaska on Friday. The Lady Bison will wrap up district the following Tuesday in Anderson-Shiro.

Shaw named Tx High School Scholar Athlete
      Buffalo High School senior Meredith Shaw was recently selected as State Farm's Texas High School Scholar Athlete. Meredith, the daughter of Ron and Lori Shaw, was featured on Fox Southwest on Saturday, April 11, at 12 noon.

Centerville tennis teams dominate in district meet
      The Tiger tennis team dominated district play on Wednesday April 7 at the Sam Rayburn courts in Bryan. Centerville will be sending ten players to the regional tournament. Daniel Kendall and Garrett Ward - 1st place boys doubles and Michael Gwosdz 1st place singles and Nick Bain 2nd place singles qualihits, fied for Regionals.

Boys track team brings home District Gold
      OHS traveled to Neches this last week. Although small in numbers, they showed a lot of heart and a lot of hard work by winning first place at this District track meet.

Lady Cougars win one by forfeit, lose to Franklin
      The Leon Lady Cougars were handed a forfeit win by Hearne on April 6th because of lack of players by the Eagles and on Friday April 9th the Cougars played tough but lost to Franklin 3-5.

Centerville Lady Tigers break even for the week
      The Lady Tigers traveled to Onalaska for a game on April 6th and for 6 innings the Tigers were in complete control. Unfortunately Onalaska scored 3 times in the bottom of the seventh to squeeze out a 10-9 victory.
