One Act Play presented in area competition

Emily Grissett, Cassie Ferguson and their fellow performers and crew members had a good run in the One Act Play competition. BHS’ successful play was once again directed by Jill Oliver Henson. Van’Go’photo Buffalo High School's theatre department competed at Area last Tuesday with their One Act Play, scenes from "Dark of the Moon". The troope's OAP run ended there at Huntsville, but the judge had high praise for their production and several cast and crew members were selected to receive special recognition at the Area competition. Senior Brooke Trahan was named Best Actress, and Martha Zimmerman was named to the All Star Cast. Chris Negron was selected Area Best Technician. Honorable Mention Cast members were Jessy Champion, Meredith Shaw and Jacob Rodell.

Centerville and Rosebud Lott High Schools will be advancing on to the Regional OAP competition. Centerville’s cast members chosen for special recognition included All Star Cast members Tricia N. Martin, Kelsey Murphy Reynolds and David Roach, and Honorable Mention All Star Cast member Jessica Nichols.
