Brookshire Bros burglarized The Buffalo Brookshire Brothers grocery store and pharmacy was burglarized during the early morning hours of Sunday, April 11th. Police Chief Lance Pavelka stated that an alarm went off at about 2:00 a.m. Officer Bill Hutchinson and the store manager went inside, cleared the building, and found nothing unusual. When employees came in at 6:00 a.m., however, they found that the store had been burglarized. Entry had been made by cutting holes in the roof of the building, and the safe had been broken into and several thousands of dollars stolen. The Buffalo police department processed the scene and evidence has been sent to the DPS crime lab. Asked for a statement, Store Director Randall La- Cour deferred comments to the corporate officials, and they, too are holding their hand close to their chest. Brian Lair, Corporate Security Manager for Brookshires, shared only that they are not at liberty to release too many details in order to protect the integrity of the on-going investigation. “If anybody has any information on this burglary, please contact the police department,” Lair concluded. |
