Jessi Corrigan
Visitation were held on Monday with the family present to receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the funeral home. Miss Corrigan passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2010, in an automobile accident in rural Robertson County. She was born in Hopewell, Virginia, but grew up in Pasadena and Marquez. Jessi graduated with the Leon High School Class of 2008. She was a talented musician and loved being a member of the Leon Cougar Band where she played percussion. Miss Corrigan also played violin in the Huntsville Orchestra & Youth Orchestra. Jessi loved to compete in barrel racing in rodeos and was quite successful on her horse, “Hot Flash”. She was presently an assistant manager at the newly opened Exxon convenience store in Kosse and enjoyed her job very much. Miss Corrigan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jewett. She is survived by her grandparents, L.J. & Pat Richardson of Marquez and Hugh & Linda Petty of La Porte; two great-grandmothers, Gladys Jones and Bettie Jones both of Virginia; one uncle, Alan Petty & wife Julie of Dallas; two aunts, Stephanie Hallmark & husband Terry of Pasadena and Julie Hinson & husband Tommy of Houston; four cousins, Tara Petty, Ross Petty, Tim Pullig, and Erin Lester; other relatives and many friends.
