After picking up two wins last week, the Lady Bison softball team is in third place behind Corrigan Camden and Centerville at the halfway mark. Buffalo defeated Onalaska 7-3 and Anderson-Shiro 6-0 to wrap up the first round of district play. Corrigan-Camden stands alone at the break with a 7-0 record. Centerville is 6-1 while Buffalo is 5-2. The Buffalo baseball team fell on hard times last week as they dropped two hard-fought district games. ONALASKA More ... Ladies results Hilltop Lakes WGA held their first WGA Inter Club Tournament for 2010 on March 25 with 36 ladies participating. The weather was cold, windy and wet. All the ladies had a great time, but were glad to finish and head to the warm Overlook Restaurant where they all enjoyed a delicious lunch buffet. More ... Daniel Kendall and Garrett Ward participated in the Rice Tournament in Corsicana on Saturday March 27. In the first round, they defeated Maypearl 8-6. In the 2nd round, they faced Bosqueville and beat them 8-0. These placed them in the semi-finals against Teague and were victorious 8-4. More ... The Centerville Lady Tigers suffered a heart breaking 2-1 loss to the Corrigan- Camden Lady Dawgs in Centerville on March 23rd. Both teams sported 5-0 records and the Tigers dropped a game behind with the loss. More ... The Lady Cougars traveled to Franklin on March 23rd but fell in a slugfest 12-6. The offense put 6 on the board but that wasn’t enough. More ... The Centerville Lady Tigers basketball team enjoyed a very successful 2009-2010 season, and placed several players in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All District selections. The Lady Tigers’ honors included one district superlative. Brittany Thomas (#3) was named MVP Denfensive Player of the Year. More ... OHS's own Felicia Williams is known for her skills on the basketball court. It still must be pretty awesome to be recognized for it by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. The TABC not only named Williams to the All Regional team but to All State as well. This great praise is great news for this senior who has hopes of playing basketball at the college level.
