Bison men shut out over Spring Break

Ty Tollett was the starting pitcher when the Bison hosted the THS Tigers on a rainy Tuesday afternoon. The freshman pitched 3-1/3 innings, threw three strikeouts and gave up 5 walks and six hits. Senior Logan Beard relieved Tollett in the fourth, but the Tigers had his number and got four quick hits and a base on balls. The Bison coaching staff brought in Taylor McGill to finish the inning. McGill pitched 1-2/3 innings and threw five strikeouts, and gave up one hit and no walks.

Trinity put 11 runs on the scoreboard. Buffalo only managed one run on three hits and six walks. Dylan Ansley was 2/2 with a single and double and Travis King was 1/3 with a double.

CORRIGAN-CAMDEN

Van’Go’photo Friday afternoon the Bison hit the road for a contest with the Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs, and the Bulldogs took a 12-2 victory in another abbreviated game. Tollett was again the starting pitcher for BHS, and he threw three strikeouts in two innings, gave up three walks, five runs and two earned runs. King took the mound in the third inning and pitched three innings with three strikeouts, three bases on balls and seven runs.

Standouts for the Bison on offense included Tate Hartley (1 for 2 with a double and a walk), King (1 for 3 with a single) and Ryan Read (1 for 2 with a walk).

THIS WEEK the Bison are scheduled to travel to Onalaska on Tuesday, March 23 for a 6:00 game, then host Anderson-Shiro on Friday, March 26 at 4:30. Next Tuesday’s contest is New Waverly at New Waverly on March 30.
