2010 Livestock Show dedicated to Leathers family

The 2010 Leon County Youth Livestock Show Committee is proud to honor the Jerry Leathers Family and Centerville Feed and Supply. Over fifteen years ago Mr. Leathers purchased Centerville Feed from the Pierce family and since that time they have promoted the vision of our youth program by providing support and services that will enhance the growth of the Leon County Youth Livestock Show for many years to come.

This family has contributed to the success of the youth of Leon County in many areas. In the past they have provided guidance to show officials and exhibitors, purchased animals in the live auctions and provided shavings for the exhibitors during the week of the show at no cost. Each year without hesitation they sponsor the Livestock project day which allows 4-H and FFA members an opportunity to learn about their projects and practice exhibiting those animals.

Regardless of difficult economic times they have continued to support this event and have bought at least one sale item each year during the premium sale. It is with great pleasure that we dedicate the 51st annual Leon County Youth Livestock Show to the Jerry Leathers Family and Centerville Feed and Supply who have facilitated in the achievements of our past, encouraged the success of our present, and provided security for a positive future.
