Wyman Benjamin Wall
Funeral services for Wyman Benjamin Wall, age 89, of the Redland Community in Leon County, were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas. Bro. Dean Ferguson, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Centerville, and Bro. Ed Houk officiated. Interment followed in the Centerville Cemetery.
Wyman Benjamin Wall was born on December 16, 1920 in Redland to Leonard Clyde, Sr. and Lola (Neyland) Wall. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII and worked as a rancher. Mr. Wall enjoyed taking care of his cows. He also put others before himself and always made sure that they were taken care of. He had lived at home, taking care of his parents, before he married. Mr. Wall was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville. He passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2010 in Centerville, Texas. Mr. Wall was preceded in death by both of his parents; sister-in-law, Grace Wall; nephews, Lynn and John Mark Wall; sister, Valda Hardee and niece, Peggy Clossin.
Survivors include wife, Martha Wall of the Redland Community; daughters, Sheila Freeman (Chris) of Jewett and Shirley Schneider (Randy) of Waller; sons, Frank Ticknor, Jr. (Elene Winstead) of Lubbock and David Ticknor (Theresa) of Broaddus; brother, L.C. Wall of the Redland Community; sisters, Henrilois Hayne of Centerville and Margie Ellison of Centerville; grandchildren, Melissa Padgett, Tisha Williams, John, Jr. & Scott Bennett, David, Christina & Heath Tomczak, Tricia Schneider, David, Jr. & Chad Ticknor and Anthony Adkins and great grandchildren, Madie, Cutter & Kylie Williams, Ty Bennett, Alisha Graham, Christy Utsey, Daniel Sterling, Hadlee & Jake Tomczak, Crystal Killian, Julian Sanchez, Remi Mayes, Kylee Winstead & Caden Ticknor.
Pallbearers were David Ticknor, Jr., Chad Ticknor, John Bennett, Jr., Scott Bennett, Heath Tomczak & David Tomczak
Honorary Pallbearers were David Haynie, Clyde Haynie, Bobbie E. Hardee, Jimmie Ellison, Benny Wall, Lowell Wall, Joe Clossin, Dudley Hardee and John Bain.
