Darlene Josephine Menefee Funeral services for Darlene Josephine Menefee, age 85, of Buffalo, formerly of Texas City, Texas were held Friday, March 12, 2010 2PM at the Walters Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Dr. David Kimberly officiated and burial followed in the Buffalo City Cemetery. Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Darlene Menefee was born in Radley, Kansas on June 20, 1924 to John Bernard and Germaine( Delobel) Radley. She came to Buffalo from Texas City in the 1980’s, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Buffalo. Darlene was the wife of the late Floyd Menefee who was a Past Worshipful Master of Buffalo Lodge # 554. She loved gardening, and working in her yard with her flowers. She enjoyed sewing and cake decorating. She also worked outside the home at Thebaults Jewelry of Distinction in Texas City, Texas and also at Credit Bureau Services in Texas City. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Floyd Menefee. She passed away Monday night, March 8, 2010 in Texas City, Texas. Surviving Darlene Menefee are her three sons; Scott Spriggs of Waco, Texas, John Menefee and wife, Alice of Texas City, Texas, and Carl Menefee and wife, Melonie of Buffalo, Texas; one brother, George Bernard of New Port Richie, Florida; two sisters, Emily Molner and husband, Leo of Canton, Michigan, and FiFi Chao of Orange County, California; four grandchildren, C.J. Menefee, Colby Menefee, Melissa Hallet, and Scott Spriggs, Jr.; and four great grand-children, Ryan, Bailey, Luke and Jayden. The pallbearers were Tim Cox, Tryon Cox, Dean Partridge, C.J.
