Home Food Preservation Seminar set for April 30th

Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Leon County will be hosting a Home Food Preservation Seminar on April 30, 2010 from 10 am to 2 pm, at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo. Registration will begin at 9:30 am.

This seminar will provide a wealth of information related to canning foods at home. Participants will also learn about freezing fruits and vegetables, salsas, tomatoes, and more! Pressure canner gauge testing will also be available for canners made by Presto, National, Magic Seal, and Maid of Honor. So Easy to Preserve, a book on food preservation, will be available for purchase.

This action-packed seminar will run through lunch, so participants are encouraged to bring a sack lunch. There is a $10.00 registration fee that must be paid prior to the seminar. To reserve your space at this seminar, please call Texas AgriLife Extension Service in Leon County at 903-536-2531

I am registered & I noticed the pressure canner gauge testing. Does this require I bring my canner? Do I need to bring anything else? Thanks, and I am looking forward to the seminar.
