Falling donations after ESD passage leave VFW’s in bind

      Volunteer fire departments in the northeastern portion of Leon County may be finding the creation of ESD #4 to be a mixed blessing -- at least at the present time. In the minds of local residents, they are already doing their part to support the VFDs and may therefore be less generous in their donations.

BHS’ UIL Cross-Ex team to debate at state level
      BHS seniors Morgan Anderson and Meredith Shaw will compete in the UIL State Cross-Examination competition in Austin March 15-16. The entire Buffalo crossexamination team attended two invitationals prior to district. Anderson and Shaw qualified for State at the district competition on February 11 in Trinity where they took second place behind a team from Centerville.
