NORTH CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH

Tom Nolen Tom Nolen Today was the first day of daylight saving time. “Some people were late to Sunday School this morning. It usually happens. There will be no AWANA meeting on the seventeenth so everyone will be able to do other things although there will be a prayer meeting on that night. Ladies bible study @ 4:30 PM on the 21st and after the service that evening there will be a celebration of birthdays and anniversaries. This will be hosted by Dorothy Powell and Helen Ellis. March 25th will be the second food bank day of the month. March 28th will be Palm Sunday and will begin the season of celebrating the resurrection of Jesus, after his crucifixion and burial. On March 28th there will be no evening service due to meeting of the ministerial alliance @ First Baptist Church in Centerville at 6:00 PM .

April 4th will be Resurrection Day and we will all celebrate His day. We do not refer to it as Easter as that refers to the goddess Ishtar, the goddess of fertility. Ishtar was a nonexistent person who never did anything to help or hurt anyone. Jesus on the other hand did give His earthly life for the remission of sins for all that believe. If you are a Christian and are not now regularly attending a church, Then come to North Creek and serve the Lord with us. If you are not Christian then you need to take stock of your life and decide whether you want to spend eternity with Satan in Hades or with The Lord in Heaven. If you decide the latter then come to North Creek and someone will introduce you to eternal life. “See ya there”.
