The 4-H Fashion Lock In provides a night of learning and fun for those 4-H members in the clothing and textiles project. The night began at 8:00 PM with Buffalo 4-H member Cassie Ferguson giving tips and demonstrations on how to effectively model in the 4-H Fashion Show. After much modeling practice, participants then began the next activity - duct tape clothing. Each participant was given a trash bag and a roll of duct tape to create their own fashion. After the duct tape fashion show, Alysta Feauto of Normangee 4-H was awarded the top prize for the best design.

The night began to slow down as 4-H members then made their own shrink dink jewelry pieces. Events soon heated up again as participants drew numbers for donated formals to be recycled into new fashions. The community donated 49 formals and 13 dress suits for 4-H members to recycle! Twenty four excited young ladies worked until 3 a.m. on their new designs with the help of Carolyn Ferguson, Andrea Freeman, Cassie Ferguson, Reagan Robertson, Anna Feauto, and Wendy Neyland. A perseverance award was awarded to Jasmine Willis of Oakwood 4-H. Special thanks goes out to all who donated dresses, provided snacks, and stayed up to help out at this wonderful event!
