Leon County Gun Club’s 26th semi annual Buffalo Gun Show was attended by over 1200 customers this week. The traffic in the show was heavy all day Saturday and steady on Sunday despite a gray and drizzly day. Exhibitors reported good sales and liked the friendly crowd at the 100-table Buffalo Gun Show.
This huge local event draws customers from all over East and Central Texas twice a year, and has been sold out for 2 months. The two day show was staffed by approximately 65 exhibitors, and coordinated with over 40 club members. The gun show is extensively advertised and draws much out of town traf- fic and commerce for restaurants, hotels, and local businesses.
Leon Co. Gun Club hosts the Buffalo Gun Show to boost memberships, and help fund Range improvements and firearms safety training programs at their 13- acre shooting range complex 10 miles East of Buffalo. Annual memberships are available for $75.00 per year or they offer day passes for only $10.00. The NRA affiliated gun club features 25, 50, 100, and 200 yard ranges with 20 ft. berms, covered concrete shooting benches, and a modern, roomy classroom facility for hunter education classes and concealed handgun license classes. The range is open 7 days a week, daylight hours.
