BISD archers successful at State Archery Tournament

This past Friday 18 Buffalo high schoolers and one junior high student competed in the State Archery tournament in Waco, Texas. Buffalo placed 4th as a team and qualified to advance to Nationals. Shelby Stanton placed 6th in the High school female division, and Brooke Mills placed 9th. Dylan Ansley placed 7th in the High School male division.

Ag Science Instructor Bobby Terry stated, “This is Buffalo's first year to compete in the archery contest and to place so well against schools that have been competing for years makes me extremely proud of my shooters!”

Participants included: Dylan Ansley, Shelby Stanton, Casey Helfenbein, Brooke Mills, Bryce Strack, Taylor McGill, Dakota Champion, Andrew Houston, John Nelton, Reid Courmier, Colton Thornton, Laken McCabe, Esteban Espinoza, David Rodriguez, Jared Hawthorne, Taylor Ayers, Courtney Williams, Keri Hawthorne and Blake Thornhill.
