Flo Water Board Election slated for March 27th

Flo Community Water Supply Corporation will hold its Annual Members Meeting and Board of Directors Election on March 27, 2010. Two directors’ positions, presently held by Ken Jones and Richard Blanchard will be decided by the election. Blanchard and Ken Jones are not seeking re-election. Two nominations for the positions were filed prior to the February 23rd deadline.

Jack Williams, a lifelong resident of Flo, is a nominee. Williams is a former Flo Volunteer Fire Department Chief.

Davis (Dave) Albert, is former owner and president of Texas Outdoor Sports. He has been a home and property owner in Leon County for 40 years. Albert and his wife presently live in the Flo area where he has managed his ranch since 1973.

All members are encouraged to attend the annual meeting since a minimum of 10% of the membership must be either present or return their signed proxy form in order for the election to be official. Even if you choose not to vote, please return your signed proxy to the Flo Community WSC office by noon on March 26th . Ballots can be cast at the meeting until 10:30 AM on March 27th.

The Annual Members Meeting will be held at the Buffalo Civic Center beginning at 10:00 A.M. A catfish dinner will be served at no cost to members.
